Buenas tardes plebada!
What a crazy week. I am emotionally and physically exhausted and so full of joy! It has been a week of tons of miracle, hard work, and joy the whole way through!
What’s up?? How was your week? What have you been up to and how’s the family doing? Tell me about life!!
I’ll try to cover the whole week since I’m low on time and exhausted, so here we go!
🌇
– We had such a miraculous week this past week, it was so good!! Our friends we found weeks back are progressing so well after some super cool spiritual experiences, and Mariana and Yael are getting baptized this weekend!! They understand super well and are really diligent in studying, praying, and letting us come over, so it has been awesome!! So excited for this coming week!
– This Thursday is transfers!! Hoping for exciting news and super hoping that I get to finish my mission in Marina. We have so many miracles coming soon and I hope to be here to see them happen! It’s absolutely wild to think that this will be my last transfer as a missionary. It’s so sad that it goes by so quickly!
– As we were knocking doors in the sun this week, a friendly guy answered and offered us some water for the heat, which we gladly accepted, and he gifted us each a world cup Mexico cup, lit! Thanks buddy!
– We woke up at 4:30 this morning to go on a hike with the APs, ZLs, and Secretaries which was so fun, then hurried over to another hill for our pday as a district, where we hiked!! The latter was much slower, more dramatic, and sunburn-inducing but it was a greeeeeat day. Hard to have a bad day if you are out enjoying the Lord’s creations!
– My brother Logan graduated high-school. WHAT!!
– We have had such a good relationship with the members and it has been going so well. This past week, we got a reference to go visit three different families from a member of the bishopbric, and our friend Mayetzy that we met last week, introduced us to her sister Alison, who has never come to church and absolutely loved it!! Miracles keep coming in left and right.
– Found some great deals this week in the tianguis by our house. Incredible deals. Probably some of the best bartering ever brought to the table in these tianguis. Came away with some great wins this week.
– Gave a District Council about living with no regrets, finding joy in the small things, and being able to say “I’m glad that I did that” or “I’m proud of what I did” at the end of each day, week, transfer, mission, and life. It was a huge reminder for me. We read about the blessings or some important life reminders when the going gets tough and we feel sad, discouraged, distracted, tired, or alone. It went really well and the most part of us ended up in tears. Good tears.
So, yeah!! All in all it was a great last full week of the transfer. I’m still shocked to only have a transfer life. Life really will pass you by! Remember, “these are the good old days, there ahead and behind”! Go make this week worth it and live every moment with no regrets! I want you to go to bed every night thinking “I’m glad I did that today. I am proud of myself”. Go find, make, and bring joy!

Now before I get too far off into the weeds…
Man, 3rd Nephi is just soooo chock full of the incredible teachings of the resurrected Jesus Christ that I really had a hard time choosing where to start and what to share. There was so much that stuck out to me this week and brought me peace and joy! The words of Christ truly are the words of eternal life.
So, instead of focusing on a specific point of doctrine that the Savior taught in His first moments while in the ancient Americas, something else stuck out to me this week, from the first verse of chapter 15:
“Whoso remembereth these sayings of mine and doeth them, him will I raise up at the last day.”
Oh. Dang. Two of the most repeated messages in the Book of Mormon (remembering, and living, not just knowing, the gospel) reiterated by the Savior and backed up with an amazing promise.
We don’t just read (pray, attend, serve, love) to know, or to learn, or to understand. We do all those things to live. The Gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t a set of beliefs or an organized group of principles, it’s a guide for living.
The importance and reach of the teachings of Jesus Christ really only work if we do two things: remember them constantly, and live the things we remember. Good news is, it’s simple! Study, love, attend, partake, serve. Be like Jesus is. Try. Work a little harder and give a little more of your whole heart.
The blessings are priceless, even eternal. If you remember, and if you do (or live!) the teachings of the Savior, He promises you eternal life. Even if that means you try, and fail over and over again.
He wants you right there with Him. Choose to go there and accept His invitation! Remind yourself and do. Live. Become!
I love you all so much. I am so grateful for the joy of the knowledge of the full and eternal teachings of Jesus Christ!! I am grateful that I can return home to Him, even though I am imperfect.
I love you, and I hope you feel joy in your efforts too. I hope you make this week the best week yet, and that is a greeeeat start to a great summer!! You can choose the outcome and you can choose the focus, no matter your circumstances.
