New Recruits

What’s up bodoques!

Man life is just good. I just feel happy. Joy is so amazing and so real! God is so good! It was, of course, another awesome week.

I hope you had a joyful week! What’d you do? What’ve you been up to? Tell me all about life and how its been treating you. I love you and miss you!

– It was transfer week so it was chaos and it was so fun! We didn’t end up going to airport day but we did go to the final dinner for the missionaries heading out, and Elder Arias stayed with us that night. It was awesome and it was so sad to see some amazing missionaries head out.

– But, its awesome to see amazing young missionaries come in! On Wednesday we rode in the van to the CCM to pick up the new missionaries and it was so fun. They are some amazing people with tons of desires and excitement to go work. I am so excited to be around them and to learn from them, it’s amazing to see their excitement!

– Later that day we battled through the chaos of the airport, under full remodeling for the World Cup, to find two Brazilian missionaries who were on Visa wait. We thought we missed them because of the traffic and the mess, but luckily customs took almost 2 hours so we ended up having plenty of time to spare. Some awesome missionaries!

– A random locochón homeless dude keeps breaking into our church so we finally called the church maintenance guy who told us to sit there with him and keep him calm until his friend got there to get him out. So I wasted and hour and a half listening to a mentally fried man talk about a bunch of crazy nonesense stories. But, maybe he’s a visionary and I need to interpret it more like the book of Revelations. The guy came and got him out and the Hermanas that got spooked when he walked in were assured that he was gone. All is well in Zion.

– We changed a mission rule, so now once a transfer my P Day will be a different day of the week so we can go to the temple. I’ll let you know when its closer to that day.

– Transfer day was crazy but we almost set a record for fastest time. If I didn’t have to teach so many people how to sign in to WhatsApp or save their chat history we definitely would have had it. Next time. The Brady’s grandkids came to visit so the three little girls kept everyone very entertained!

– We got to grind out some work in our area this week, and our friend Daniela is on baptismal date! She is so elite and wants her brother to get baptized too, so we will do our best to make that happen. We met a couple awesome families this week with so much potential and they are so nice, I can’t wait for another week of work coming up!!

Anyways, it was an awesome week. It usually is when you get to watch the Spirit touch and change people and when you get to feel that same Spirit as you share and testify. I love being a missionary and I love this work.

📚

On a rather unrelated note, I love the Sacrament. I love the emphasis and importance that Church leaders have been expressing about the Sacrament. I love the symbolism and the reminders of the Sacrament and the promises the Lord makes to us every week.

So, here’s a great scripture I read this week in Alma 5. I won’t tell you the verse so you go and read the whole chapter anyways, because it is all worth reading!!

“Behold, he sendeth an invitation unto all men, for the arms of mercy are extended towards them, and he saith: Repent, and I will receive you.

Yea, he saith: Come unto me and ye shall partake of the fruit of the tree of life; yea, ye shall eat and drink of the bread and the waters of life freely;”

Oh now that is a gem. It’s a scripture where the Savior invites us to take the Sacrament and He will recieve us! Now, here’s a great scripture to use as a missionary that fits right along with that:

“I speak by way of command unto you that belong to the church; and unto those who do not belong to the church I speak by way of invitation, saying: Come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye also may be partakers of the fruit of the tree of life.”

If you don’t remember the meaning of the fruit of the tree of life, I’ll leave you with that bit of homework, but man, I can testify of those three verses. The love I have felt each week taking the Sacrament, especially when I think of the real meaning and purpose, I am filled with love and peace and forgiveness.

There is nothing I need more in life than those three things, and there is no one and nothing that offers it better than our Savior does. He invites you to understand and live His sacrifice of love every week and find a renewal and fresh start for a new week. He promises you His Spirit and His protection. He offers a remission of mistakes and a forgiveness of sins.

Is there anything more important that we do in a whole week? I really don’t think so. I love the Sacrament so much every week because I love my Savior so much and I am so thankful for His sacrafice on my behalf. I am so grateful for His love for me and that I can know Him more every week. I am so thankful I have made promises to follow Him, and so grateful for the promises He has made with me and the blessings He promises.

Remember the real importance and meaning of the Sacrament this week. It’s not just a routine and it’s not just a renewal of a promise, its an opportunity to understand more of the Savior’s Sacrifice for you and feel His love and power in your life. I love Him, I love you, and especially, He loves us. Remember and feel His love this week by taking the Sacrament!

Go make it an amazing and a joyful week, for you and everyone around you!! Go do great things and go be great things. You have an unlimited potential and armies cheering for your success!

You are amazing and I love you so much. Talk soon!
