What is up!!
This week was a good one, and it went by really fast! So crazy that the transfer is almost over again, time is absolutely flying by! I hope everyone had a fantastic week and that (I think most of you?) are enjoying spring break! I’ll try and keep this one a little quicker this week, but hope you all know that I love you!

– We had interviews with President Burnham this week and it was so good. I love him and I am so grateful for how loving and supportive of each missionary that he is. It was really nice to just chat with him, ask questions, and get his perspective. He is a really great dude and I learned a lot from him. Crazy that his time as mission President is wrapping up soon!
– This week Elder Marx had his 19th birthday, which would’ve been so fun, except we had overnight divisions and the poor dude headed to our Zone Leaders area and didn’t get to sleep in his own bed. Don’t worry though, because we made up for it like crazy with lots of cake, candy, and lego building. I think it ended up being worth it, hope he had a good day!
– Divisions were actually super fun, I stayed in our area with Elder Quintero, who goes home on Friday. We ate donuts, had some good lessons, and talked with the lights off till like 1:30 in the morning, he is really funny and has a lot of good perspective. It was actually a lot of fun
– This absolutely lovely old lady in our ward named Cruz fed us a tasty lunch on Sunday. She is sooo nice and so funny and just loves talking to the missionaries so it was awesome! She brought us out a salsa she promised wasn’t spicy, so I slathered it onto my chicken and salad and really everything else. Oh my goodness, I literally had tears in my eyes and was sweating like nuts because it was so spicy. Here I thought I had decent spice tolerance. I’ve been working on spicy foods like Jared West works on swallowing half an Ibuprofen. We were all dying, I think she either pranked us or didn’t read the bottle, because it said “pico altísimo” so that was fun! I’d share the picture of me bright red with tears in my eyes, but thats too embarrassing.
– We went to Carls Jr with some awesome members, my double burger was stupid spicy but delicious, and Krispy Kream had a deal day so we snagged a couple donuts each there too. Yummmm
– Heading to the temple right now! I’m so excited, I absolutely love the temple. Such a good place to be and I am so excited to go feel my Heavenly Father’s love there!
– Elder Quintero got Elder Marx and me both sick, which kind of stinks, but I woke up today feeling a lot better, Pday medicine is real. Or, my immune system is just a tank
Not too much happened this week! It was a good one, and I absolutely have loved my personal study in the Book of Mormon lately!!

This week I read Jacob 5, which seems to be unnecessarily long, but it is also so so good. I love how much it relates to missionary work, and to our shared responsibility of gathering God’s children home to Him! Here are some verses I love there:
“Wherefore, go to, and call servants, that we may labor diligently with our might in the vineyard, that we may prepare the way.And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard sent his servant; and the servant went and did as the Lord had commanded him, and brought other servants; and they were few.And the Lord of the vineyard said unto them: Go to, and labor in the vineyard, with your might. For behold, if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy.”
Not just as missionaries, but as disciples of Christ, we are the servants of the Lord, called to labor in the Lord’s vineyard, to help bring all His children home. Sometimes we are the few, but we are called to labor alongside the Lord, which is something so special! We are here to work hard to help His other children, and when we do, He promises us joy!
“And thus they labored, with all diligence, according to the commandments of the Lord.”
That’s what we should do^^
And at the end of the season and after all the hard work, the Lord of the vineyard tells us, His servants, if we did as He asked,
“Blessed art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the fruit, behold, ye shall have joy with me because of the fruit of my vineyard.”
Missionaries or not, we are all asked to labor in the Lord’s vineyard. Whether at the temple, with friends and family, on a mission, or at home, the Lord asks us few chosen servants to labor diligently with Him, and rest afterwards, being filled with joy.
Well, I hope you liked reading some of Jacob 5, I love that chapter and I think it speaks to the love that our Heavenly Father has for each of us, and all the effort He puts in, and we can and are invited to put in, to help everyone get home to Him. He works tirelessly to help us, and we can be instruments in His hands!
So this week, look for opportunities to serve others, to share your love for them, and through you, help them feel the love of Christ! Diligently seek opportunities to bless the lives of God’s children, and He will bless you with joy. It is such a real promise and blessing!
I love you all so doggone much, I miss you all, and I hope everyone is doing great and feeling happy! I think about you guys all the time and I’m so grateful for you! Keep up the good work out there, go enjoy some good nature for me, and I’ll keep you all in my prayers!
Talk soon! I love you!
