What’s up everyone!!
Nothing too crazy of happened this week, so since I’m lower on time, this one should be a little quicker. Here’s to hoping anyways…
I hope everyone had a great week, nicer weather and BYU basketball and all that sounds like fun! Hope everyone is doing fantastic! I love you all!
✨️ Weekly Highlights
– This has to get the top spot on the week. We visited the Zócalo today, which was super cool, and almost got in free to a bunch of museums. So close. We did, though, get in free to a massive catholic church! Really pretty inside and absolutely huge. My favorite part was the exclusive Coca Cola dealer that we saw while walking around. I enjoyed a coke there, picture attatched
– After a lot of fear and nagging allergies, I figured scruffing random cats would be a fun side hobby while we walked in the streets. Even if the dang cats don’t mind getting scruffed, I’d consider the feeling of scruffing a cat satisfying enough that it has made the allergies worth it. Revenge is all mine for all the allergies dished out throughout my life, I am a cat scruffing machine.
– We had a ton more success this week in finding out interested friends, which was an answer to prayer and such a week full of miracles. Some of these people have a ton of potential to progress, and I am really excited! Wish us luck! The hand of the Lord really is in all aspects of missionary work.
– We knocked some cool doors in some cool apartment complexes, and I saw one incredible sunset. It’s gotta be like mission highlight and one of the best ever, picture also attatched!
– I went on divisions with Elder Ortega, and the dude has a really good perspective, so it was really cool to learn from him. We knocked doors for like 3 hours and came away with one person, but it was still a great time!
– I ate more delicious black ice cream, I promise it’s so so good but I have no idea what it is made of. I have to get that recipe.
– At the ward summer party (actually spring party, but it felt like a summer party) the bishop waved our fee away and we got to take free photo booth pictures which was pretty awesome. Thanks bishop!
Pretty brief highlights, but it was a great week!!
📖 Spiritual Thoughts
This week I dove more into the Book of Mormon, and once again read some seriously amazing stuff that touched me and I think is just a quality life lesson. The Book of Mormon is so good!!
Here’s great life advice from Jacob, chapter 3. One of my favorite scriptures!
“Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause.”
That is a super great promise!! I love the descriptors he uses there, firmness of mind and exceeding faith. Why exceeding faith?
“For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them” (Ether 12:12)
While we look to our Heavenly Father through His Son Jesus Christ with firmness and exceeding faith, the blessings are amazing. The Savior consoles us, brings us through our afflictions, and even pleads our case with our Heavenly Father, making the greatest blessings of mercy and grace open to us. It’s such a beautiful promise!!
So, this week I would invite you to focus more on what you say and what you think while you pray. You are literally communicating with your Heavenly Father! He will guide and console you and show His grace and miracles to you. Focus on Him with firmness and exceeding faith, and the blessings and miracles come, I promise!!
Alright, that’s all for this week! Go make it another great week, find the miracles, and have so much fun! Spring sounds like it’s fully there (snow one day and heat stroke the next) so go enjoy it to the fullest! I’ll pray for your march madness brackets.
I love you and miss you all! Talk soon…
