Big, Wet Smooch!

Que tal folks!

Hey heyyy how is everyone doing!! I hope it’s been a good week this week and that you all have been having fun! I hope you’ve been seeing the hand of the Lord in your lives, I promise He is there!!
Hopefully I can cut back on email length this week, let’s jump in!
✨Weekly Highlights
– Despite my expectations, I’ll be staying in Cuauhtémoc for a 5th transfer!! Holy cow, I have been here my whole mission! I absolutely love the ward, my companion, and we have had a ton of miracles and success so I am so excited for another transfer here! We are ready to work super hard and see tons more miracles this week
– We passed by Julie’s house to bring her to church, and this crazy super drunk guy was outside just kind of losing his mind. It’s actually really hard and sad to see how many people lose all control and get themselves so drunk and high that they can’t even stand up or think straight. After he cursed us out, kissed Elder Marx’s hand with one big, wet, smooch, he stumbled away and yelled at what I can only assume was his imaginary friend next to him. I found him later hugging some Venezuelan men at a little restaurant. Poor fellas
– Another person we’ve been teaching sent us a text, saying that he was too embarrassed to ask in person but that he thinks I look just like Young Sheldon, a TV show he just started watching. He asked if I’d ever gotten told that before. Definitelyyyyy not!! That’s crazy! Almost as common an occurance as Jared West being asked if he was the actual Leprechaun when he had his bushy red beard.
– The Lopez family took us out to tacos as a sad goodybe before transfers booted me somewhere else…I think maybe they were slightly disappointed when I stayed. Juuuuuust kidding, and the tacos were super yummy. Sorry Lopez family mwahaha
– Betty accepted a baptismal date for this Sunday!! She is sooo so good, sells delicious desserts and loves the Church!! Please keep Betty in your prayers this week!
– Speaking of desserts, we visited my favorite boneless-selling lady that works at a cool, cheap little restaurant with a bad name. I asked what ice cream flavor she had that day, and she said she invented her own flavor earlier in the week called “activated carbon” kid you not. She was really trying to get me to buy some and I was like uhhhh so she gave me a free taste test, and it may be the most delicious thing of all time. It’s black ice cream so I don’t know if she was kidding about the carbon…and she wouldn’t give me her secret recipe. Definitely getting a lot more of that stuff.
– My dope little brother Liam turned 13 yesterday. Heckkkk yeah Liam!! Cool guy, that one. Sad I couldn’t be there, happy birthday anyways buddy!
📖 Spiritual Thought
Per the advice of some family members, I read Doctrine and Covenants 18 this week, which is so good and speaks so powerfully to missionary work and our work as disciples of Christ! Really anyone should go read that section, it’s so good! Highly recommended
Here are a couple verses that hit me this week:
“Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;
And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth!
Take upon you the name of Christ, and speak the truth in soberness.
And by your hands I will work a marvelous work among the children of men […] that they may come unto the kingdom of my Father.”
I wish I could just copy and paste the whole section in here. It is so so good! Our Heavenly Father has such great worth for each of our souls. He wants us to repent, to take on the name of Christ, and to sprad the truth! Then, through us, He will magnify His work to bring His children home, and we get to hooe along the ride and enjoy the miracles!! Man, if that section of scripture ain’t just truth, I don’t know what is.
Remember your worth, that your worth is great in your Heavenly Fathers sight. At the end of the day, that’s kind of the only sight that matters, because it’s perfect! Repent and let Christ cleanse you. Proclaim His truth! And watch Him work miracles through you. It is so real, He follows through on His promises and makes those things happen!
God loves you, He knows you, He values you, He will help you! Let Him work in your life and stand up for His truth. He is there to help, and He will!
I told you it was going to be a shorter email than the usual. Remember how much I love you all and care about you!! I’m keeping you in my prayers and I truly do love you so much! Have an amazing week, and better yet, make it an amazing week! Help someone else along the way too, we all need it!
Talk soon, I love you all!!
