Hike Rewind

Que rollo de papel plebada!!

What is upppp! How was your week? How are you doing??

Man, life goes by like a blur sometimes!! I feel like just yesterday I wrote you and email, crazy!! Don’t let the good old days pass you by while you are living in them!! Make every moment worth it and live with no regrets!

🌇

– Our friend Marco gave us some free tacos!! We talked to him for awhile, met his son and a couple of his friends and watched him griddle up some tortillas and meat. Took to carry home in the rain and holy smokes they were so good. Thanks Marco!

– Found a new deliciousssss restaurant outside the house with some of the best arrachera in a burrito I’ve ever touched. Hounded that thing down with two glass cokes and was pretty sure that is as close to joy as you can get from something that’s not Jesus Christ! Picture attached.

– I love chilangoñol. Spanish is the best and its so fun and creative. Almost two years later and I still don’t get how is it so normal to call someone ‘little fatty’ or a million other creative things but its normal and its great!

– We had Zone Conference on Thursday which was absolutely amazing!! Only one more left which is crazy. It went super well and it was so spiritual! It was so good to be with the Bradys and so many fantastic missionaries and learn so much! I finally got a Snickers because I wrote 12 letters straight to President without missing. Heck yeah.

– On Friday we had exchanges with our ZLs and I got to run it up again with Elder Rodriguez. Holy cow it was so much fun and so full of miracles. He is suchhhh a good missionary and we loved it!! Ate some baby pig tacos with a dope family, found a ciudad perdida and invited everyone to come to Jesus Christ! Some great exchanges!

– Our friend Gia accepted a baptismal date for May 31st!! She is so awesome and has so much love for God and such a strong desire to follow Him. It is amazing and I learn from her! We are so excited!

– We woke up at 4:30 today and went on a hike back to Cerro Coatepetl. It was very steep and very refreshing and soooo much fun!! We met a fun family and a cute dog followed us the whole way. The views are so cool from up there!

That’s about everything particularly noteworthy from this week! It was a great week and I am excited for an upcoming week of miracles!!

📚

The Book of Mormon is so good. It speaks to me so much in so many aspects, I am in love with it!! We didn’t get quite as much time to study this week as I would have liked but here’s something that stuck out to me in particular this week!

I love the way the Book of Mormon talks about true conversion and the fruits of being a true convert and disciple of Jesus Christ. Here’s something that stuck out to me from my reading this week in Helaman 15:

“The more part of them are striving with unwearied diligence that they may bring the remainder of their brethren to the knowledge of the truth.

And as many as have come to this are firm and steadfast in the faith, and in wherewith they have been made free.”

THAT is some good stuff. How I hope to one of those of the “more part” and strive with all the unwearing diligence of my soul to bring my brothers and sisters to Jesus Christ!

How I hope that we can all become those kind of people. How are you going to bring someone to the knowledge of the truth this week? How are you going to change your priorities and choose to be firm, steadfast, and immovable in your faith of your Savior?

“for because of their firmness, behold, the Lord shall bless them and prolong their days.”

An eternity of blessed days. I know we can all put in an extra effort to help someone around us strengthen their faith in the Savior. Whoever it is, will you please take every opportunity this week to lift someone else? Will you help someone else find more comfort and joy this week through Jesus Christ? Will you put Christ first?

On top of that, do the stuff you know to do!! Go study your scriptures, pour out your heart in prayer, find peace in the temple and answers to prayers, worthily take the Sacrament and remember your Savior always. Represent Him! Be firm and steadfast to Him.

I love you so much. You can choose to make this week joyful, no matter the circumstances! Better yet, you can make someone else’s week joyful, no matter their circumstances. Remember what, or who, should be the focus of your life! And go get it done!

Talk soon, I love you!
