Que hubo chavos y chavas!
I hope everyone is doing fantastic today and that y’all have loved the week! Go Buckeyes. This past week has been super awesome so I’ll get right on it and tell you about it!
✨️
– After District Council on Thursday as we were taking the camión back to the area, our driver and the driver of the other bus decided to race and it was pretty exciting and pretty scary, our camión won up till the spot where we got off, I’ve never seen anyone drive a manual so well
– A member gave us each a Baja Blast at lunch one day and dangggg that stuff is so good, I completely forgot about it, very nostalgic and very appreciated.
– Our friend Alberto got baptized on Sunday!! It was such a miracle to find him and he was so excited to be baptized! What a fantastic guy and such a cool story, he has a super strong testimony! We found him one P-Day on the train just randomly, his girlfriend is a member and had been trying to get him to talk to missionaries but he was scared, and we he met us on the train he decided that God wanted him to talk to the missionaries too. He is super cool and he was so excited to get baptized!! Congrats Alberto!
– Went and visited some Elders who are in the biggest and hardest and most neglected area in the mission, they are out in the far deep dark corner of the mission and it takes like 2 hours to get from one end to the other, which is big for this mission. Anyways, they were having a really hard time and kind of ready to throw in the towel, so we went and just talked! They are great missionaries and are working so hard and it was so good to listen to them, we were all crying by the time we left, it was a super spiritual experience and Jesus Christ can truly heal any wounds!
– We went out for lessons with this 16 year old kid named Joab, the kid is an absolute legend and is going to be an unreal missionary wow, he taught super well and is super funny and outgoing. Learned a lot from him
Well that’s about it for the fun stuff on the week, today we went to an area called La Presa which is up in the steeeep steep hills and feels like the top of the world, we visited some converts my companion helped and it was so cool! Crazy place up there, I don’t know how cars can get up streets that steep but man it was impressive. But yeah, it was a great week!
📖
I was reading a little bit in Mark this week and I especially liked chapter 10, some verses in particular that speak a lot to missionary work or just life in general!! Here are verses 29 and 30:
“And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake,
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, and in the world to come eternal life.”
Dang. No matter the sacrafice, the blessings we will receive are one hundred times more?? That’s absolutely more than worth it. Whatever it is you sacrafice for the Lord, literally whatever it is, He promises you blessings literally one hundred times more than what you sacraficed. That’s a fantastic promise, and while it’s easier said than done, it’s absolutely worth the sacrafice and heartache for the Lord, because He will make it all worth it.
Anyways, my time is short this week and I am all over the place, but sacrafice for the Lord whatever it may be to do His will, anything that keeps you farther from Him, and any sacrafice will be rewarded with blessings a hundred times better. So do it! It’s a deal 100% in your favor!
I love you all so much, have an amazing week and remember to keep on praying and that your always in my prayers! You guys are the best and I’ll talk to you all so soon! I love you! Go have an amazing week 🫡
