Que rollo plebada!

Heyy happy Monday! What is up?? How was the week? Hope it was a fantastic one filled with lots of great skiing, football, and tacos.

This past week was full of prettttty normal stuff and interspersed by some excitment, so why not tell you about it?

🇲🇽 🌇 🌮

– We had our sports night again and I think I got even worse at volleyball, luckily the most hyped up recent convert I’ve ever met, Jonathan, saved like every terrible hit I made. We were a dynamic duo

– Went on exchanges with Elder Zazueta in La Presa and we had a great time. Its a super cool area with super great folk and we saw a ton of miracles! We ate lunch with a nice lady who lived in South Jordan for a few years and told us about each occasion that she hit patches of ice on her electric scooter and ate crud. We had a great time eating enchiladas verdes and talking about Utah.

– On Thursday we were out and about working when we got a call from the number of some Hermanas in a different zone, an ambulance paramedic was on the other end of the line. So, we took off to go to the hospital in our area that the whole mission uses to recieve them at the hospital and check in. It was a long, late night, but we got a ride in the ambulance to go pay them the 16k pesos they needed in cash from the Secretaries haha

– That same night, after we went to bed at like midnight, the earthquake alarm went off at like 12:50, 50 minutes after I had gone to bed, so we took of running down the stairs again (but I remembered the keys!) It was weak, we hardly felt it, and I didn’t even recognize the alarm at first. Thank goodness the other missionaries in this house got me out of bed in time!

– Between the time that I wrote those bullet points at 12:30 in the afternoon, and now, 10:10pm at night, I threw up all over the floor of the bowling alley, and spent the next 3-3.5 hours in the bowling alley bathroom setting the world record for most double dragons in a sitting. Sorry for the details but wow, that hurt. I think thats the most sick I’ve been on the mission, now I feel great (thanks President Brady for the medicine!) and I kind of wrecked Elder Nielson’s last Pday, but it brought lots of faith and fun stories. Huge sorry to the staff Recórcholis in Parque Lindavista. Hence the delay in the email!

– Other than that it was a really good week, we had our interviews with President Brady and I learned a ton again and felt so much guidance. Afterwards they took us out to eat at Italianni’s afterwards and we had a great time. I am so blessed to be here!

Anyways, doing great now! I am now 6 pounds lighter than this morning so that’s a bummer but I am so excited to go to the temple tomorrow and so excited to feel better!

📖

It’s late, so I’ll keep this super quick. I loveee the last set of chapters in 2nd Nephi from like chapter 26 onward. So, here are a couple verses I loved from my reading this week!

Here’s a couple verses I loved about the power that the Book of Mormon has in the last days, meaning right now!

“And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

And the meek also shall increase, and their joy shall be in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.”

I absolutely love the Book of Mormon’s teachings and I know it has brought me closer to my Savior as I’ve read it every day, taken notes, and really thought about what I am learning. I know it will do the same for you too!

Make it a goal, and soon make it a habit, to really study the Book of Mormon every day. You can learn new things and find answers to prayers every single day. I have, so why can’t you? Go read it, and go share it with someone else!

I love you all so much, and I know that your Heavenly Father is looking out for you. He gives us so many tools to find Him and feel His love, we just need to use them!

I hope you have an incredible week, I’ll keep praying for you and hoping that you get tacos soon. Talk soon!
