Stomach Tacos

Que onda plebada??

Twas another great week! I don’t how a week couldn’t be great if you eat tacos all the time, drink ice cold Coke even more, and bring everyone you can closer to Jesus!

I hope your week was also great, that you found lots of tacos, plenty of imported Mexican Coke, andddd especially that you invited someone to come closer to Jesus! You’re next week will be better if you do, I promise!

– This last week was super spiritual filled, we had MLC on Tuesday, Zone Conferences on Thursday and Friday, and a meeting with Presidente and Hermana Brady on Saturday!! It was a constantly busy week but it was so fun and the Spirit was so uplifting.

– The highlight of those meetings was some practices we did about how to follow what the Holy Ghost says to help someone resolve or overcome a real need or challenge. Instead of pretending to be someone getting to know the Church, we shared some of our real needs and challenges and in pairs, each tried to follow the Spirit and help each other overcome it! I was with Elder Ward for one of them and we both got pretty real, and he absolutely followed the Spirit and told me some things that brought me to tears, it was amazing and the Spirit was so strong. I love this.

– Tuesday we had our newly announced ward sports night which was fun, a bunch of recent converts came and we all had tons of fun! They are all going to invite some friends this week and it’s going to be lit!

– Also on Tuesday, an Elder who had gone home for knee problems came back to the mission after a highly anticipated return! He is so excited to be here and to work and I am so excited that we keep snagging some great missionaries from the transfer portal. Plus, the Bradys took us out to eat at Toks again ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

– Went on exchanges on Friday with the greatest of all time, Elder Warren, to Circuito. Hooooly cow it was such a fun day and it was so good to catch up with my old companion! We saw a ton of miracles, it was also just a crazy day! We went to a Minecraft-themed parked and we were highly doubtful we’d meet anyone remotely interested in anything to white dudes were going to tell them, but the first vato we talked to was super elect and was happy to listen to us, he had some great questions! Minecraft park is the gold mine.

– Also on the same exchanges, we headed down a street looking for one of their friends and walked into a police raid in action. There were like 35+ cops outside the building, and they let us walk in, and about 20 more inside. They were all running up the stairs right to the apartment we were trying to go to too, so we figured we’d go another day ๐Ÿ˜ฌ and headed out! Crazy stuff!

Pounded out the Isaiah chapters of the Book of Mormon this week in Spanish. That made me remember how many obscure words I do not know in Spanish, and frankly in English either.

But, it was GREAT!! I read some fantastic stuff and learned a ton. Here’s part of a verse I particularly liked from 2 Nephi 18:

He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling, and for a rock of offense.

That’s a choice. We can make Christ our Sanctuary or He can be an offense, a stone to trip on. Choose this day who you will serve, and how you will serve Him.

I love the blessings and joy that He gives to everyone who chooses to make Him their Sanctuary. Here’s how Isaiah saw it:

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation.

Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

I hope we all aspire to make Jesus Christ our personal Sactuary so we can all participate in salvation together. I love Him so much. He is my strength, my motivation, my salvation and my sanctuary.

I love you all so much! Choose who you will make Jesus today and choose how to serve Him.

Go have an amazing week! I love you all so much!
