Que rollo mis gabachos!
Holy cow, Wednesday is transfers already! This transfer went by sooo fast and it was so much fun, I’m excited to see what happens next transfers!
Hopefully, a lot more baptisms.
Anyways, it was a great week and it was a crazy week and so I’ll tell you a little bit about it! Hope you had a great week too!
✨️
– We were waiting for a taxi one day when I met a member from Tultitlan who also was a Mexico tourism bus driver that had just dropped off his German passengers at the pyramid right in front of our house. Great guy! He said he liked my tie, I said I liked his, and before I knew it we were trading ties. Add an ODA Bus & Travel tie to my rare tie collections. Ain’t nobody else getting one of these bad boys.
– We went on a couple days of exchanges this week, and the first was very fun and the second very hectic!! Elder McAllister and I had a great day, and AP Arias and I had a stressful day and went and helped some struggling missionaries. I learned from each of them for sure!
– We had 3 back-to-back-to-back meals of mole, and yeesh, I think one of them might’ve definitely been bad. The APs showed up to our house right as I was hitting the double dragon. Legendary. I finally got the actual double dragon at the same time!! Luckily, the sink was really close to the toilet. Unfortunately, I don’t know if there is enough dish soap and hot water in the world to try to cleanse the sink and prevent stink after that. Whew!! Nothing a few Loperamides can’t fix!
– It was Halloween and Día de los Muertos! Man, those holidays kind of got smooshed together into basically three days with tons of candy and everyone in costumes or face paint. The best part is for sure pan de muerto. Mannn that stuff is so good
– Starting the 6th, we will move back our schedule to how it is in most missions in the world. Instead of 7:30-11:30 we will have 6:30-10:30. Dang it! Probably no more morning basketball with the wards, I don’t know who the heck wants to wake up that early. It’ll be great and I’m so excited to go to sleep earlier
– Please pray for the Lopez family; Evelyn, Ian, and America!! They all want to get baptized but couldn’t come to Stake Conference. Keep them in your prayers, they have such good testimonies and absolutely love the Gospel! We will help them get baptized sooooon!
📖
I can’t remember if I’ve said this before, but mannn I love the Book of Mormon. It is full of answers, pure doctrine, and comfort. I love it.
I especially love the words of the Savior. And ever since I’ve become a missionary, I especiallyyyy love what He teaches about gathering Israel in the last days!! Here’s a few verses picked and chosen from chapter 21 of 3rd Nephi:
“For in that day, for my sake shall the Father work a work, which shall be a great and a marvelous work among them;
And then shall the power of heaven come down among them; and I also will be in the midst.
Yea, the work shall commence among all the dispersed of my people, with the Father to prepare the way whereby they may come unto me, that they may call on the Father in my name.
And they shall go out from all nations; and they shall not go out in haste, nor go by flight, for I will go before them, saith the Father, and I will be their rearward.”
I read those verses this morning and I absolutely loved it! I promise that its true. I don’t know many things in life, heck, I don’t know most things. But if there’s anything I am certain of, it’s this:
There is a God. He knows and created us. He loves us.
He sent His Son, the only perfect person to ever live, to suffer and die, and through Him we can be saved. We are here to learn how to follow Him and get up each time we fall. The suffering is exalting.
Jesus Christ lived again and overcame death and sin and pain. He has restored the fulness of His Gospel to the earth, through His prophet (although imperfect) Joseph Smith, and offers us all of the knowledge and each of the covenants necessary for our eternal salvation as families.
He desires that each of us share the light and joy we have found through Him, in whatever capacity we can. He directs this work. He leads His church.
Christ has gone before us and prepared the way and prepared the hearts of His children. He’s protected me from danger. He wants to protect each of us from spiritual danger and bring us all back to Him.
He has saved me, because He has changed me. I’m sooo so so imperfect, but He is so perfectly merciful.
So, let Him change you! Let Him work His great work! Let Him gather you! Choose to love Him more than anything else and everything else will follow. I promise.
Well, I think that’s all I got for you this week. I hope you all know how much I love you! I still pray for you! Keep on going and keep on doing great things. I love you!!
Talk soon cuates míos,
Elder Crockett ❤️
