What’s up cuates!!
I hope everyone is doing so well this week, man down here we had one of the best weeks in the mission so far! I hope everyone out there can say they had the best first or second week of school so far haha
Well hopefully I don’t make this email too long but I’ll just jump right in and tell you all the highlights!
✨️
-Well on Thursday morning they set up a fair along our street and a couple others, and it was loud and full of people and actually looked really fun! They only downside was that they set up The Hammer about 15 steps away from our front door, and it went till like 2am every night, so we kind of fell asleep late because of the noise. It was exciting
– On the way home from District Council Elder Nye and I preached on the bus. It was kind of scary but it actually went pretty well! And the driver wanted to come to church with us, I’d call it a success.
– Went on divisions with the APs yesterday, I went with Elder Nielson and it was so fun, we had a lot of success and I learned a lot from him!
– Went on an early morning run around a track with the first counselor of the ward and our ward mission leader, holy cow my legs are actually really sore but it was super fun and they are both so funny! Should be a new thing we do a couple days a week which will be so fun! Everyone go follow Oscar Franco on Strava, also go follow Jared West
– 2 absolutely hammered drunk brothers invited us into there house and yelled at us for awhile because they thought we were German and they were soooo funny. Out of their minds, but funny! They ended up asking to take a picture with us when we told them we were from the US and offered us some beers, not sure why they wanted the picture if they wouldn’t give us their phone number?
-Had a ton of miracles this week. 3 baptisms was the best possible way to celebrate my birthday! We let Adriana sit for a few days without bothering her and she showed up to the ward family history class and said “so, can I get baptized tomorrow?” The answer was yes, she didn’t want many people there and asked me to baptize her, and cried at her baptism. The gospel absolutely changes lives. She told us she has been so happy and at peace ever since!!
– Santiago and Azul got baptized too, on Sunday!! They were SO excited, and President Brady even came to their baptism! It was so awesome and after we went with their family to lunch, and I got my face stuffed into the cake afterwards. So excited for them and it was so awesome!
📖
Perfect missionary work scripture this week popped up in Come Follow Me, in Doctrine and Covenants! I love this verse so give it a read:
“For it shall come to pass in that day, that every man shall hear the fulness of the gospel in his own tongue, and in his own language, through those who are ordained unto this power, by the administration of the Comforter, shed forth upon them for the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
I love that verse! Every doggone person has the chance to hear the gospel, so everyone who knows about it already should share it! The knowledge of the gospel is something that everyone needs, and something everyone can share. It doesn’t need to be something huge, it doesn’t need to be something long and complex, why not keep it simple and sincere. A sincere testimony will go a lot farther than a long, complex, overdone one. So, share something simple and sincere with someone this week, because EVERYONE always everywhere needs a little bit more light in their lives!
And, here are the blessings:
“Verily, thus saith the Lord: It shall come to pass that every soul who cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, shall see my face and know that I am.”
Well I couldn’t imagine anything cooler than knowing Christ face to face! Now maybe we won’t meet Him literally face to face, at least not in tbis life, but serving others, following what Christ would do (share, serve, love, invite!) and trying to improve little by little are the small and simple things that will bring us towards His guarantee: eternal life with Him, our Heavenly Father, and our families! Not only that, by doing each of those things we will come to know and love God more. We will find Him as we search to bless His children, and understand more of His plan and will for His children!
So, go share a simple and sincere testimony with someone this week. Tell someone why you love God. Share how you’ve seen His hand. Go make the world a better place, one person at a time! We all have the opportunity to be part of this great work.
I love you all so much and I miss you!! Thank you so much for the birthday wishes 🙂 you all are the best!! I’m keeping you all in my prayers!
Talk soon amigos, I love you!
